Casey Movsovitz-Nichols, LICSW, MSW

Casey is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Rhode Island. Casey received her bachelor's of social work from Providence College and her master's of social work from Rhode Island College. Casey has experience working with clients across the lifespan, from adolescence to older adulthood. She started her clinical journey working with children with significant trauma backgrounds and behavioral needs, foster families, and foster children in foster care and aging out of foster care. Casey also has experience co-facilitating groups focused on parenting and substance use relapse prevention. She also designed several groups, including a men's group focused on building interpersonal relationships and exploring vulnerability and emotional expression for men, and a group focused on moving towards body neutrality and acceptance of one's body as it is.
Casey currently enjoys working with teenagers 16 years old and up, and adults. She has several areas of expertise, including related to working with chronically ill and disabled folks, people with extensive and complicated trauma histories, and folks who have concerns related to their eating and body image. She thoroughly enjoys working with folks interested in pursuing exploration of these topics in therapy.

Casey utilizes various evidence-based approaches, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) strategies, narrative therapy, and problem-solving techniques in her work with her clients.
Casey uses a person-in-environment perspective and strengths-based approach with the goal of helping clients better understand who they are and what shapes them. She hopes to empower clients to consider their values and take values-guided actions to influence their own lives and circumstances in meaningful ways. Casey maintains the belief that the client is the true expert in their own life, and she uses this belief to guide her practice.​

Lucia Perluck, LCSW, MSW
Preliminarily Licensed Therapist

Lucia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Rhode Island. She is preliminarily licensed and is currently under supervision with Casey Movsovitz-Nichols, LICSW, MSW. Lucia received their master's of social work from Rhode Island College.

Lucia is also a practicing artist. She thinks of therapy as a creative process-- where the clinician and the client work together in collaboration and curiosity to better understand the client as a person and their goals in therapy and in life. Lucia utilizes a strengths-based, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach in working with clients. She works with the client to support them in building more self-acceptance while also supporting the client in fostering growth they wish to achieve.

Lucia currently enjoys working with adults 18 years old and up, people in romantic relationships (couples, etc.), and families. Lucia has experience with a variety of populations, including with young adults, gender- and sexuality-diverse folks, and survivors of sexual assault and domestic/intimate partner violence (DV/IPV). They also have experience working with people living with OCD, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and psychosis. She is interested in continuing to work with folks who identify with these populations and concerns.​

Lucia strives to create a safe, affirming space where clients can feel heard, supported, and free to explore new ways of being.

Lucia is credentialed with all Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. She also offers sliding scale self-pay options for folks interested in meeting with her who are out-of-network (OON), do not have insurance benefits to utilize, or do not want to use their insurance benefits.
